In foreign language learning process, the role and the status of mother tongue has always been a controversial topic, and different schools of linguistics have different views toward this. However, we cannot deny that in terms of pronunciation teaching, morphology teaching, and syntax teaching, Chinese-style thought indeed more or less influences on the students'English language learning and its application. The phenomenon of the influences of language transfer, which generated from the second language acquisition, is a problem that can not be ignored. When we talk about the language transfer, many people will naturally bring to mind that the negative transfer affected the learning because of the knowledge structure of mother tongue, and forget that the positive transfer is also functioned.In English pronunciation teaching, the knowledge of Chinese pinyin has an important effect on the learning of English phonetics. Chinese student's English pronunciation appearance has manifested that in English language learning process, the positive and negative transfer work at the same time, we should regard the transfer phenomena dialectically.This article has carried on the brief description regarding to the theories of language transfer and the phonetics knowledge, takes Chinese pinyin in English pronunciation study's positive and negative transfer's coexistence as the research breakthrough point, has analyzed the pronunciation transfer phenomena in the practical teaching process which using the contrastive analysis and the descriptive analysis. Respectively carried on the analysis from the segmental features and the suprasegmental features, the goal has lain in the exploration of the effective teaching strategies and methods to suit the Chinese students'actual level, which could overcome the negative transfer effectively, carried forward the function of the positive transfer, aims to enhance the students'ability of utilizing English language.
