A Study On College Student's Love Values And Their Relationship With Personality Types

The love values are relatively stable evaluation and attitude tendency to the basic problems in the process of culturing love."The basic problems in the process of culturing love" mainly includes four aspects,which are the motivation of love,love choice standards,attachment tendency of love,sexual behavior orientation.Love as a social act,is produced under the dual role of the senior social needs and physical needs,closely correlated with human needs,motives,values and temperament,personality and other personality factors.To discuss the correlation between the personality and love values,we can find love and the nature of the reasons for love in the view of stable personality characteristics and tendency.The relevant research of University students' love values is discussed a lot at present in the world,but there are some in-depth study of the subject.First,the concept has not yet been clearly defined,unified;The Second is the lack of scale for the measurement of the love values;Third, informed research has been mostly from the point of sociological,ideological and political education or education for the state of research,so lack of the point of the process of research from a psychological.Moreover,the research of the relationship between the personality types and the love of view has yet to be found.This study uses the way of expert consultation questionnaire and semi-opened and semi-closed questionnaire to college students,refers to the relative studies all of the world,makes up the questionnaire "College Students' View of Love Questionnaire".According to the psychometrics standard,we analysis questionnaire by item analysis and factor analysis.Finally,form the formal questionnaire.452 college students of Huainan Normal College were tested.The results show that:(1) University students' love values consisits of four aspects,which are love choice standards,the motivation of love,attachment tendency of love,sexual behavior orientation,etc.(2) This study makes up "College Students' View of Love Questionnaire",which has good reliability and validity,and can be served as a measuring tool for college students' love values.(3) The differences of college students between the love values and love experience is not significant on a whole;Significant gender differences are found in college students' love values;as a whole,the different grades in college students' love values is not significant;in the major type,only the difference between students of science and students of liberal arts is just remarkable.(4) In terms of gender,with the exception of attachment tendency of love dimension is no significant difference,the other dimensions show significant differences.(5) In terms of grades,with the exception of attachment tendency of love dimension is no significant difference,the other dimensions show significant differences between sophomore and junior;only on the dimension of love choice standards,there is a significant difference between freshman and sophomore;in all dimensions,the difference between freshman and junior is not significant.Orientation in love behavior reflects well stability.(6) In terms of majors,the love choice standards difference between major of science students and major of liberal arts and art students is very significant;The love choice standards difference between major of liberal arts students and major of physical education students is also significant,sexual behavior orientation difference between major liberal arts students and major of art students is significant.(7) College students' love values really problemly have four types:stable type love values,independent type love values,submission type love values,na(l|¨)ve type love values.Actually,this is derived from four types,which are stable love choice orientation,the motivation of love,love attachment orientation and sexual behavior orientation.(8) AS EPQ measured,the personality type "outward unstable" and the stable type love values show a high correlation;the personality type "inward unstable" and the submission type of love show a high correlation;the personality type "outward stable" and independent type love values,na(l|¨)ve type love values show a high correlation.This study analyses the possible dimensions of the love values types systematically,based on the results in previous studies,to combine their questionnaire and the scale of foreign-related research,we attempt to make up "College Students' View of Love Questionnaire",which is up to the psychometric required standard.To some extent,it provides a new tool for the reseach in college students love values.The match model of personality types and college students' love values is investigated preliminarily,provides personality basis for learning college students' love values,and also to some extent,it could be easily used to predict the college students'love values.Simultaneously,it has provided the new ways in college students psychological heath education and counseling.We study the current status and characteristics of the college students' love and marriage deeply.Although the match and the analysis may not be entirely accurate,but it lays some foundations for the future investigation work,provides some reference for the future investigation work..
