But along with becoming and development of the information age, many a new technical and new material more and more applies in the exhibition design, they has poured into the new vigor for the modern exhibition design, and also has certainly enriched in the public system of the exhibition design's content. In which most representative example is the application of the virtual reality technology, the public system's function obtains the enormous expansion here, not only in the services of the demonstration function, but also directly enters in the exhibition area to act as the vicarious demonstration function role, even is displaying unattainable effect of the traditional performances.This article proposes the concept of the public system in the exhibition design, and carries on the definition and the content research. The definition of the public system in the exhibition design must be divided into two stratification planes, generalized and narrow sense. The generalized definition on public system is that besides the exhibit article, all the equipments and the activities which serves for the function of the exhibition; In the narrow sense, the public system is an organic whole which contains in the public space systems, the public dissemination system as well as the public relations system, they are also the three basic essential factors of the public system in the exhibition design.
