The Research On Social Ethical Thoughts Of The New Trend Union

New Trend Union was organizated by Fu Sinian,Luo Jialun,Xu Yanzhi and others during the Period of May 4th,.All the people are the students of Pekjing University.It was formally established on October 19.1918,many of the members are from the Peking University."THE RENAISSANCE",volume 1,No.1,was published on January 1,1919,its objects are mainly on the youth and the middle-school students,specially introduces the Western trends,criticizes the Chinese modern age on academic and various problems in the society,to help average students enhances the thoughts and moral qualities.Under the members of New Trend Union management devotedly,the New Trend Union gradually became one of the student unions, which had a great impact in Peking University.From New Trend Union established to dismissed,it was just the period of the New Culture movement sprang up to declined,all kind of Western social thoughts came swarmingly,the society of china was changing dramatically, all kinds of the feudal forces made every efforts to safeguard,support it,lots of decadent feudal thoughts flooded again,"moralist" sold the feudal ethic with the name of Confucius. After the New Trend Union established,under the effect of the New Culture Movement and progressive teachers,the members of New Trend Union sent out calls,such as "personality liberation","personality independence","women's liberation".They forcefully criticized the thoughts of feudal tradition,especially the feudal ethic,with the thoughts of the Western Natural Sciences and bourgeois democracy as a weapon and the magazine as a stage,in order to call up young people's awareness to spiritual liberation.In this paper,I will use many methods to analyse this problem,such as textual criticism,comparing and qualitative analysis,ect.The paper includes five parts as follows:Introduction:Firstly,studying the significance and the research status,and establishing the direction of this study.Secondly,establishment of New Trend Union.Thirdly,making a brief introduction to the main members of New Trend Union.Chapterâ… From three aspects,such as the status,tribalism and fate,to discuss the members of New Trend Union who criticized the traditional family system and called on young people should break the shackles of the old family system,pursue the rights of individual liberation, personality independence and freedom of marriage.Chapterâ…¡Discussing the women's virginity,women's education and women's personality, the members of New Trend Union appealed women's liberation,criticized the feudal society by all the inequalities to bound women,advocated equality between men and women, transformed unequal marriage and family,etc,promoted the women's liberation powerfully.Chapterâ…¢Discussing conventional morality,outlook on life and national character,the members of New Trend Union considered that the morality should be changed from time to time,established the new morality which adapts to the society,set up the outlook on life as" the free development of the individual for common welfare".Conclusion:In the late Period of May 4th,the main member of the New Trend Union which was influenced by the differentiation of the New Culture Movement,its critical spirit was weaken,but the New Trend Union which got the achievements shouldn't be obliterated. Their remark not only played an important propaganda role,but also expanded the force of the New Culture Movement.
