Dostoevsky is one of the most important Russian writers in the 19th century whose artistic creation exert great influence upon the world literature today.Dostoevsky's creation is one of the most complex phenomena in the literature history of the world.Dostoevsky is an outstanding representative of realism but his creation is outside the confines of traditional realism in many important aspects.Because of Dostoevsky are more concerned about people's inner world,he chose a number of creative approach that are different from the traditional realism,dream and illusion is the more typical one.The dream and illusion description that combines with Dostoevsky's understanding of sin and crime to form the dream and illusion of crime reveals the complexity of human nature profoundly.However,the dream and illusion of crime in Dostoevsky's novels has not been adequately researched in our country,and it lacks profound systematization.In this thesis, basing on the perspective of the sin,we want to analyze the dream and illusion description in Dostoevsky's novels.At last,we conclude that the dream and illusion of crime is the most important means of expression in Dostoevsky's novels,and it is the way that Dostoevsky inquired the human nature,and it is also the main reason that Dostoevsky became a Mental Master.We still wish our work is significative both for Dostoevsky novel research and other works that have similar dream and illusion description.There are five parts:Introduction:This part is mainly an overview about the current study on Dostoevsky's works since the early twentieth century.The research on Dostoevsky's works has two categories in our country:one is translated information,other is local information.The research of Russian scholars is majority in translated information,and the situation has changed after the 1980s,the scholar begun to concern the Dostoevsky's works widely in Europe and the United States.The research of Dostoevsky's works at home start from the early twentieth century,although there is low,the research continues to today.The introduction offers the general data about the current study on Dostoevsky's works at home and aboard,and the statements about the achievements and problems in present study.At last, it indicates that the focus and studying methods of this thesis are the dream and illusion of crime in Dostoevsky's novels.Part one:Collation of the dream and illusion of crime in Dostoevsky's novels.First,we discuss the reason of dream and illusion of crime description.Dostoevsky think the human nature is a complex composition,the sin of nature hidden in the depths of consciousness, dream as unconsciousness is the natural outpouring,so dream and illusion of crime become a shortcut to inquiry the human nature.Second,categories of the dream and illusion of crime.
