Our everyday environment is filled with irrelevant and potentially distracting information. Although control by the environment is adaptive in most cases,assuming that processing of the environment demaresources,being clamped to the environment can interfere with the processing of information that is unrelated to stimuli present in the immediate environment.interfere restrainning is a primary part of working memory, shows the close relation by many researches with divided attention paradigm.To the implicit memory,In this research,the negative priming paradigm was used to examine the identity negative priming on the two groups of the undergraduates and the correlation between the high and low ability of distracter inhibition and implicit memory.One hundred undergraduate students participated in the study.At first,a negative priming task was used to ask participants to judge the color of chiense character"green","blue","yellow","red"after"+"in a regulated orientation which appeared with color, which was performed by participants with either the implict or the explict phase of the memory task for encoding interference condition.Two behavioral experiments were conducted with Chinese characters as stimuli,These experiments adopted a study-to-test paradigm,in which participants performed a"shallow"(color)study task or a"deep"(pleasant)study task,followed by either a lexical decision(implicit)test(experiment 2) or a recognition(explicit)test(experiment2).The data analysis,ANOVA using Bonferroni analysis,was performed by SPSS 15.0 software with the reaction time and accuracy which was recorded at two tests.Through strictly designed experiments,It indicated that distractor inhibition plays a key role in explict memory retrieval,which point can be seen directly from the result that the retrieval of the group of higher distractor inhibition was much better than that of the other group.But in the implict memory test,the retrieval of the group of lower distractor inhibition was much better than that of the other group.participants who performed a"shallow"(color)study task or a"deep"(pleasant).study task in encoding process have no different effect on recognition.
