Benjamin Britten is one of the most distinguished composers in the 20th century and the music renaissance leader in British. His opera in the history of opera in the United Kingdom has drawn greater attention. In all 16 Britten's opera, Gloriana is his creation of a National Opera and the heart of the building. Major historical figures to the prototype for the opera of Britten's opera heroine image is created by a bold breakthrough. Although there is controversy about Elizabeth I on the shape of the characters, however, this reflects the Britten opera of personal feelings to achieve to meet the demands of audience tastes and an ideal balance, as well as true, the pursuit of accurate figures to shape the image.This essay selects the Queen's image in the Gloriana as the study object, through analysis of the libretto and opera music to strive to be comprehensive and detailed to show the drama queen of the arts to shape the characteristics of the image to explore the Britten's Musical-Dramatic techniques, and hope that further study for the academic writing Britten opera, especially in the opera characters to provide help to shape.This essay is composed with two Chapters.Chapter 1. Brief background and the idea of writing the opera, focusing on reading the libretto in the shape of the Queen's image.Chapter 2. Interpretation the way of Britten's music to shape the image of the Queen through analysis of the opera music.
