Previous researches have attached importance to the research on coping style and security development of Left-behind Children in Rural China. Many scholars did researches into the effecting factors on coping style and security development, but there was no a system research. Especially, researches on the relations between coping style and the security development of Left-behind Children in Rural China.Based on Previous researches, using junior middle school Left-behind Children in Rural China as the subject, this dissertation studied the relationship between coping style and the security development of the Left-behind Children in Rural China by employing Coping Styling Questionnaire established by Xiao-Jihua, and Maslow's Security-Insecurity Inventory. On one hand, this dissertation is to explore the effect of the Rural Left-behind Children's coping styles on security development and setup a theoretical model. On the other hand, It was to Provide some theoretical bases for fostering security, for education about mental health from family and school.The result showed:1. There are no significant differences on the coping style and security between the Left-behind Children in Rural China and Children with Parents living with them in country side.2. Rural Left-behind Children in coping style selection has a significant gender and grade differences, a sense of security level of no significant gender, grade differences.3. Left-behind Children who use problem solving and help seeking coping styles more frequently have higher security development than those who use the two coping styles less frequently. And Left-behind Children who use self-blaming, daydreaming, avoidance, and rationalization coping styles more frequently have lower security development than those who use the four coping styles less frequently.4. Parent-child separation, coping style and security development have close relation, and coping style plays a mediating role in this relation.
