A Study On Xu Xu's Love Novels

In our contemporary literature history,Mr.XuXu,as a writer of new Romanticist,created quite a lot of novels for nearly one half of a century in his writing career.However,love novels are the important part of his creative works.Mr.XuXu considered the real life through his perfect love stories and made a deep reflection of life and fortunes.This dissertation is to make a detailed describing of his love novels so as to research into his choice of materials,spiritual implication and art of narration,which maybe an objective re-evaluation of its literature values and significances and give it due position in contemporary history of literature.The main body of dissertation has been divided into three parts. Firstly it discussed the materials and type of ideal love novels,whose novels have combined the cultural traditions of ancient times and present ones,Chinese and alien ones,and they are as follows,i.e.,On one hand, they were heritage of ancient legend story's essences,which has consolidated ghosts,sheriff,and love materials.On the other hand,it has absorbed the essences of foreign literature,which has combined with exotic and love materials.The ideal love has be interpreted from 3 ways,i.e.,ANIMA,the goddess in dreams,happy meetings,romantic encounter by chance,and the godship,the appreciation distance for love.Secondly it analyzed the spiritual core of Mr.xuxu's novels.Just because of many years of drifting life,he was thirsty for woman's comfort and for a domicile of permanent peacefulness for his heart.But the thirsty but remote ideal love and instant loss of true love made him feel deep aloneness and driftness.As we know,love is conditional,whose essence is unusual,changeable,nonrational.The pure love does not exist at all and this would make him feel the pessimism and emptiness.Finally,it studied the narration art of Mr.XuXu's love story.This essay discussed it from the perspectives of personhood,spheres,orders and emptiness and trueness.as for his love story,the narrative personality mainly using the first one,but a few using the third one;various levels of narration be used in his novels,mainly using super-narrative and major narrative level or the combination of both major and secondary one; Although many levels have been used,reverse and interposed narration were used often.In addition,he combined dreams,visions and realities,which formed into the art of 'real' and 'false'.In the searching of literature arts,Mr.XuXu has accumulated too much valuable experiences and enriched modern literatures stocks.Many of his works are worthy of researches.We shall make a deeper study his works in contemporary literature history and he was one of the important writers who may not be overlooked.
