Daisaku Ikeda is the world famous Buddhist thinkers, philosophers, social activist, and writer, laureate. Not only published a novel Human Revolution, he but also created many poems and prose. He has repeatedly talked about the impacts which literature brought to him. Different from the known thesis, this paper has no intention of making research of Daisaku Ikeda's thoughts in philosophy, religious, humanitarian, ethics and morality, and education; but an attempt of exploring the view of Daisaku Ikeda's literary appreciation, from an interdisciplinary perspective - Literature and the religious perspective, and from the perspective of comparative Literary Theory; then try to find out the source of his view while recovering in the long history of literary criticism and literary theory, and summarize the specialty after comparing.Daisaku Ikeda's view of literary appreciation mainly concentrated in the purpose of literary appreciation, the object of literary appreciation, the subject of literary appreciation as well as the process of literary appreciation, etc. Daisaku Ikeda considers the purpose of literary appreciation is for perfect life and making the spirit value and power of literary works' be absorbed. It is argued that the object is constituted by the literary works which are the prolocutor of the author. But works want to become an object must possess the following qualities: moving images, the mass perspective of the creation, room for readers' imagination. Readers are the subject of literary appreciation, but to get hold of this identity, they must have the aesthetic attitude of Deep Meditation, Poetry Heart as well as aesthetic imagination of Zen Awakening. And in fact, the process of literary appreciation is a dialogue with soul between reader and author, which includes three stages: the preparation, happen and beyond. Formed in a specific time, Daisaku Ikeda's view of literary appreciation was formed under many thoughts influences, such as Buddhist philosophy, the oriental classical culture and western Poetics. He inherited these thoughts, and developed them at the same time. Consequently a unique view of literary appreciation has come into being at last.
