Just as the two-sided Janus, Life and Death are two faces of human existence . The existence is not just refers to the process of "living", but also contains the understanding of"dying".Many writers,by means of "death",used to realize the existence predicament of mankind ,ask the meaning of life,and express the deep concern of reality. Among the contemporary outstanding writers in China, the aesthetic explanation of the writer Yu Hua on existence and death reflected his complex mental structure and spirit characteristics. In Yu Hua's literature world,we can profoundly feel that existence and death is the most essential thing in this world and most possibility to reveal the nature of the world and persons in it.In traditional or orthodox culture,the expression of the existence concept is from "life" to "death" . Unlike it, Yu Hua's view of the existence is from "death" to "life". If we would like to do a synchronic and diachronic inspection to Yu Hua's works, we can clearly see that, under the influence of the "avant-garde" literature in the West, Yu Hua made existence as the narrative theme of his novels, and weaved many shocking fables about life and existence for us by his real texts and complex structure, and finally showed the interrogation of humanity and the revivification of existence.Yu Hua's literary creation in 1980s mainly directly faced death itself, and his literary creation in 1990s mainly directly faced life itself. The former is the metaphysical construct of existence, and the latter is the non-metaphysical practice of existence. Although their focus is different, in the ideological concepts of the existence ,the former and the latter have an inherent relevance. No the previous death statement ,no way to show the subsequent enough thick life. By the same token ,no subsequent life statement, no way to show the previous enough absurd death. Therefore, Yu Hua's narrative transition opened the death and the life masked by the past traditional ideology, and implemented the breakthrough and transcendence of the aesthetic paradigm. These are the "Normality and Change" of Yu Hua's creation after breaking the "Concealment and Deception" behind Chinese and Western traditions as well as orthodox existence concept.I try to mainly make the West modern existence notions as the basis of this thesis, and the " existence awareness" that few researchers got involved in as the starting point of this thesis, under the perspective of the mirror of existence, with four dimensions ? approaching the death earlier and the fear of existence, living toward the death and the appearance of "dasein", having a carnival of the desire and the dilemma of common existence, converting between death and life and the myth of resurrection ? so as to inspect different texts created by Yu Hua in the varied periods of and comb the narrative changes of his novels and reveal the true intention of Yu Hua's creation, finally open the real meaning of existence in the texts sheltered by the traditional concept of life and death and the current research circles.
