Death:Humanistic Concern Of Narration

Death is the terminal point of life, as an ever-lasting subject of literature and art, it is permanently written about.’The expression of death’has always been a topic of Japanese culture, this tendency of creation as well as aesthetic pursuit widely exists among Japanese flims and TV arts, which stands for the ethnical aesthetic preference of this country.’Death aesthetics’is recognized as an unique and stable character of Japanese art and culture. Along with the development of society and the change of eras,’death expression’and’the persuit of the beauty of death’has varied and altered accordingly, as a result, it appears to be various aesthetic preferences.The dessertation followed will discuss the aesthetic feature of death expression through the studying and analysing of Japanese TV series and films, regarding the expression of thematic implication and audiovisual settings for the beauty of death, in order to provide a reference for the research of’death expression’and’death aesthetics’ in Japanese flim and TV arts.
