With the advent of information age and the rapid development of communication technologies, the media has become a powerful influence, but at the same time, some of the emerging "media event" so that media credibility has been repeatedly tortured. This makes the ethics of news is no longer just the news industry and the object of concern to scholars, but also become a topic of public concern.The ethics construction and legislation in dissemination lag behind the development of mass media, which contributes to the moral problems in mass media. In the age of "entertaining to death", the entertainment communications becomes increasingly vulgar, seriously affecting the credibility of mass media, causing a wide distrust on the social responsibility of the media, doing harm to the socialist mental civilization construction and leading to a more vugal and wicked aesthetic standards in both the mass media and the public. A considerable part of the criticism on the mass media focuses on the vulgarization of the media. Pornography and violence in internet, over propagation in enterainment news, vulgarization of entertainment programs, candid camera, sensationalization and such immoral means of entertainment communications will inevitabley bring a negative impact on juveniles, who may blindly imitate and worship such psychology due to their immature outlook on the world and their life. This has been a highlighted problem of our society. Therefore, it is high time to introspect the ethic problems in media communications.This dissertation is designated to discuss the current ethic issues and their resolutions in entertainment communications, the ethic standards and the possible active role that the entertainment communications could play in the construction of social ethics by collecting and analyzing materials and cases involved in entertainment communications, i.e. TV, newspapers, internet, magzines and etc.This dissertation consists three parts:Part one: Entertainment communication and the construction of ethics and morality. This part defines the basic concepts of entertainment communications, ethics and morality. It makes an analysis on the current conditions of the development of eentertainemnt communications under the background of market economy and puts forward the foundmental principle for the construction of ethics in entertainment communications.Part two: the common anomalies in current entertainment communications and the introspection on ethics. This part mainly analyzes and introspects anomalies in the field of newspapers, TV, internet, magazines, etc.Part three: the construction of the practical mechanism of ethic responsibilities in entertainment communications. This parts reviews and sorts up the entertainment orientation and the establishment of self-regulating mechanism of western media. It argues that it is essential to learn from the experience of western media in setting up self-regulating mechanism and strengthen the sense of responsibility of the media itself and raise up the accomplishments of audiences to build the practical mechanism of ethic duties of media.
