Evaluation Of Guo Mingda's Contributions Toward Chinese Dance

China has been developing dance for more than half a century,during this period, dancers have created glorious achievements from generation to generation.Guo Mingda is one of the most important dancers in contemporary China.His contributions and achievements are not neglectable.This paper starts from his career,and combined with his social activities in every period,to estimate his contribution and his life.It is divided into four chapters,through "Guo Mingda:Born for Dancing",and "Three Phases of his Study in America" to narrate the "absorbing process" during his career,and to analyze the reason that why he chose dance and the influences that the study in America brought to his activities.Then,through the chapters of "Guo Mingda's Contributions and Influence" and "His Views toward Dancing",this paper completes the narration of the "releasing process" of his career.Based on his stories toward modern dance,children dance,social dance and dance theories,this paper evaluates his contributions to China's dance objectively.
