Contemporary Female Literature of China which begins with"May Fourth"New Culture Movement has new development in the 1980s. Nearly 30 years later, Chinese female literature develops rapidly and it should be important constituents of Contemporary Literature of China also. Throughout the research findings of Chinese female literature, we can see that they have been involved in many different disciplines."The ideas of soul and body"is a new but old topic. Be crucial to Chinese female literature, depict and explain"the ideas of soul and body"seems to have a more special significance."The ideas of soul and body"as recessive and inertial being has always parts in Chinese female literature, but we should enrich and explore it further.On the basis of reading a lot literature, this paper sums up"the ideas of soul and body"of Chinese female literature from 1978 and try to reaches the cause and the meaning. For Chinese female literature, 1978 is an important year. Represented by Zhang Jie, Chinese female writers begin to pay attention to"mind awakening". Then in the 1980s, we can see that start with Wang Anyi, the writers start to describe women's body and sex. And then Chen Ran, Lin Bai and others exploit the"soul"and"body"powerful. In the late 1990s body-writing started coming up. Not only Wei Hui and Mian Mian bold challenge"writing line", but some senior female writers expanded in writing greatly.On the basis of general situation of Contemporary Female Literature of China, this paper combined with feminism theory try to explain Chinese female literature of the past three decades according to"the ideas of soul and body".
