The oracle bones from South of Xiaotun Locus were first discovered scientifically in 1973 since the founding of New China. Scholars have paid close attention to these oracle bones as soon as they were excavated. The Institute of Archaeology , Chinese Academy of Sciences, published Oracle bones discovered in the Southern Xiaotun in 1980 and 1983.Firstly, the author expounds the importance of the oracle bones from South of Xiaotun Locus and analyzes relative research on these orcarle bones, and sets the author's research objective.This paper is aimed to systematically arrange word interpretation and analyze some new phenomena existed in these oracle bones. Generally, this paper contains three aspects. Firstly, in chapter 2 and 3, the anthor revises word interpretation and analyzes some contentious words. And then, based on the previous achievements, the anthor systematizes and arranges the word index from The Oracle Bones from Xiaotun Locus South, and analyses character count and character frequency briefly.Secondly, the author discusses some new phenomena from chapter 4 to chapter 6, such as the five groups of oracle bones joined by the author, the new meanings of some characters, and supplement to the family tree of Shang Dynasty.Finally, in chapter 7, according to the oracle bones from South of Xiaotun Locus, the author supplements new meanings of characters and new characters to Simple Dictionay for the Oracle Bones so that people can use the book of Oracle bones discovered in the Southern Xiaotun conveniently.
