Abstract:Christianity is one of the three biggest religions in the world,and Christian Thought is also one of the most popular and mighty thought on earth.Film was born in a western country,and western films especially the Hollywood film has been developing to a level in terms of the biggest market share and the most audiences engagement that other countries can never catch up with.The relation of culture and art is very similar with the water and the fish,or the air and people.Besides drawing the nutrition unconsciously,it's not impossible to find that art is spreading the culture,and successfully that the core value of the culture it's living on mindfully. Then to find out the influence of Christianity on the western film becomes the objective of this thesis,and with all the theory and film analysis,I have a conclusion drew finally:western film takes advantage of the core value of Mere Christianity like the Sin and the Redemption,the Good and the Evil,People and God to be the focus of its story telling.
