Study On Characteristics Of Music Study In Fifty Years

As one of the most influential periodicals of music theory, Music Study has made great contributions to both improving the music academic study in China and cultivating high-level talent in music research field since its publication in 1958. Based on the articles in Music Study and the theory of music editing, applying investigation and literature quantitative statistics, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the periodical and broadly divides the history of Music Study into three stages: initial period, formation period and mature period.This thesis consists of two parts:The first part is composed of the first chapter, which mainly introduces discipline theory and research method of music editing and, taking Music Study as an instance, explores the significance of periodical characteristics and the basis for dividing its characteristics into distinct stages.The second part consists of chapter two, three and four, which is the main body of the paper. According to concrete quantitative statistics, it studies the periodical general situation, characteristics and problems respectively in the three stages. Meanwhile, this part primarily analyzes the characteristic formation reasons of Music Study against the political and cultural ecology background. It points out the formation of periodical character is the essential standard for mature period.
