Community-oriented cognitive psychology researchers believe that the creative activity is from the individual, but can not be separated from the external environment. The family is the first place individual lived, the parents as a child's first teachers, has a long and profound impact on the development of individual creativity. Many Researches have shown that parental rearing styles play an important role on the formation and development of junior students'creativity. Parents adopt democratic way, allow the children to express themselves, thereby promoting the development of creativity. The present study introduced the variable self-concept into the relationship between parental rearing styles and creativity, explored the mechanism that how the environment influence behavior.The present study used the survey method, investigated 470 primary school students, editing the questionary of EMBU, TSCS and TTCT. And then, the present study used ANOVA, correlation analysis and regression analysis to examine the characteristics and relations of Parental Rearing Styles, self-concept and creativity. The main conclusions are as follows:1. In terms of creativity at the junior school, the three dimensions have significant differences, the score which from the low to the high is that: flexibility, originality, fluency. On the total score of the creativity, the main effect of grade, gender and area factor should be remarkable. There was interaction between grade and area. On the three characteristics of creativity, the main effect of grade, gender and area factor have remarkable influence. The scores of boys are lower than those of girls. The score of grade one is obviously lower than that of grade two and three, and the score of grade two is obviously lower than that of grade three. The scores of the city are lower than those of the town.2. In terms of parental rearing styles, the main effect of gender and area factor should be remarkable. From the general conditions, the scores of junior school students'self-concept are more than the average scale scores. On the total score of the self-concept, the main effect of grade, gender factor have remarkable influence. The scores of boys are lower than those of girls. The score of grade one is obviously lower than that of grade two and three, and the difference between grade two and three is not remarkable.3. Warmth and understanding of parents, self-concept and creativity are positively related; Punishment of parents, self-concept and creativity are related; Rejection and denial of parents negatively correlates with self-concept, but has no relation with creativity; Over-protection and over-interference of parents negatively correlates with self-concept, but has no relation with creativity.4. Self-concept has wholly mediator effect between warmth and understanding of parents and their creativity. Self-concept has wholly mediator effect between punishment of parents and their creativity5. Self-concept has wholly mediator effect between warmth and understanding of parents and their flexibility, originality, fluency. Self-concept has wholly mediator effect between punishment of parents and their flexibility, originality, fluency.
