The geomantic thought has great effects on the way of construction for our ancestor in the past several thousands of years, and it becomes the method and standard which has to be obeyed on architecture and some other activities by Chinese people. However, in the sight of modern human, geomancy is only the generation of feudal superstition that can not been given recognition in public? In the worlds cope, the culture of geomancy has been transmitting with an unprecedented speed in full swing and great prospects. People find the prescription of treatment of environment issues on the post-industrial era from the archaic geomancy and learn form the wisdom of the reconstruction of habitat for humanity. However, a good many scholars concerning on geomancy have different ideas and evaluation. There are several viewpoints, which are complete negation or all acceptation. What's more, the geomancy has been divided in two mechanically. All of these are not fair for geomancy generated in the pre-scientific era. So, how should we modern people deal with geomancy actually? Is the geomancy ancient architectural culture or feudal superstition behind the times? What is the modern meaning of the ancient geomancy? In this paper, the above mentioned problems will be the starting point. The geomancy is investigated in the context of aesthetic culture including status quo of geomancy, the context of historical development, research condition and so on. Considering the geopolitical factors, the thoughts of Chinese traditional architecture, ancient philosophy, unique aesthetic psychology of the Chinese nation and some other facts, it is discussed about the cultural property of geomancy and explored the aesthetic value and significance of geomancy.
