Chinese geomancy Fengshui is an antique culture dealing with the relationship between human and environment, whose naissance experienced the progressively fusion of a series concepts of ancient astronomy, geography and personnel in pre-Qin period.The initial practice of Fengshui has a close connection with astronomy. What was hidden beneath Chu people's historically astronomic tradition is the old geomancy activity and the agricultural fire and the existence of witchery, promoting the origin and development of the geomantic culture. It was Chu people's unique cosmology, the concept of soul and the strong ancestor worship that resulted in the considerably leading position in the practice of graveyard's Fengshui. The physic-geographical environment of Chu had an objective impact on the early development of Fengshui concept. The later foundation of Fengshui theory is affected by the theory of chu philosophy, from which the Qi conception was likely to originate. The concept finally entered into the Fengshui system dominating the forever soul and achieved Fengshui' origin. From the perspective of Chu culture, the primitive Fengshui activity of Chu people and the plain early concepts of Fengshui on Chu land are the significant links in Fengshui provenance. This process could be independent ,that eventually made a integration with the northern process as the representative of southern Fengshui in the origin of the whole Fengshui culture.
