| Chinese flowers and birds painting as one of the most important Chinese traditional painting forms would like to use the birds, flowers and other creatures of nature which are the most loved by people in their ordinary life as a performance object, and repose their pursuit and longing for turth, kind and beauty. In the long history of the development of Chinese flowers and birds painting, themes of flower and bird also had a continuously enriched, development and expand new process, and this process and its rule is exactly what I want explore in this article. The themes of bird and flower painting have its own distinctive characteristics, its widespread, national character, faulous and its pursuit of the beauty of life are the subject matter of painting, which can not be irreplaceable. A correct perception of the characteristics of bird and flower theme in favor of me to grasp better the subject matters of the development of the performance context during the process of searching for the brilliant artistic achievements of predecessors, which provide a favorable reference and good example for the contemporary bird and flower themes to expand and innovate.This article, at first, discribes the original equipment painted bird, fish, stone axes with totemic consciousness stork which painted by our ancestors, and then, going along with the history of the development of birds and flowers painting, there are a lot of themes meet my eyes and make me daze, such as: four sheep painting on the bronze, dragon and pheonix images on the silk painting, oxen and horses painted in period of Tang Dynasty, brilliant paintings of Furong chicken in Song Dynast, and plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum paintings with spirit of man of honour in Yuan Dynasty, Xu Wei's vividly grapes paintings, Bada's fish and birds paintings with full of bitter, and modern times master, Qi Baishi's crab, shrimp paintings and so on. Predecessors constantly enriched and explored the contemporary bird and flower themes, which clearly gave a development direction. We should continuously innovate it on the basis of inheriting the tradition, and explore themes with both traditional atmosphere and fashion to meet the contemporary needs of diverse aesthetic, which push the Chinese birds and flowers painting to a new creative heights. |
