The Transcendence And Return Of New Meticulous Flowers And Birds Painting In Resent Times

Since 80s of last century,the emancipation tide provide all kinds of artistic concepts with an atmosphere of free and full development,meticulous flowers and birds painting(MFBP) presents unprecedented contradictions and diversity through fission and reshaping.Under the double influence of information era and commodity economy,the number and scale meticulous flower painters,paintings and exhibitions sharply increased.This group of artists has active ideas,they might carry on the fine tradition of home country,or absorb foreign artistic elements,or explore new artistic language.Thanks to their efforts,traditional meticulous flowers and birds painting in terms of subject,composition,colors,materials and techniques has acquired an innovative breakthrough,forming a new contemporary meticulous flowers and birds painting.Change is the law of all arts,because of limited topics,most of the contemporary MFBP does not directly reflect the social life,and thus,the inheriting traditions and expressing their individuality becomes the direction on which each artist makes efforts. However,to inheriting tradition is not simply to copy the traditional methods and ideas,but to make innovation and development based on the tradition.At the same time expressing individuality doesn't mean abandoning the tradition.With the deepening of reform and opening up,past painters had grown in specific historical times and social environment,and expression and style of their works must also adapt to social and cultural background.Today's artists have more free art choice compared to the past.Their mindset is relatively relaxed.As the growth of economic,people's living standard and level of education greatly increased,demand on art is gradually increasing,so is the taste and artistic perception.Now the MFBP is not an elite art serving only a few,but is generalized to public's daily cultural activities.Adapting to the needs of the public becomes prerequisites of development of contemporary MFBP.In the situation of culture diversifying,China has created many MFBP artistic peaks.A glorious history of tradition MFBP becomes insurmountable peak,as well as the impact of foreign art set up a dilemma for contemporary MFBP.When artists explore ways to get rid of the dilemma,there is born new MFBP featuring tradition-based,absorbing the essence of Western art.Influenced by other painting forms,it focuses on painting materials R&D,updating techniques,developing themes and exploring new forms of expression,as well as extensive using of special techniques and creating texture effects to make screen prominent.MFBP has changed a lot from both techniques and creating concepts,but there are some disadvantages left.Relying heavily on special effects,or even giving up the brush and other traditional creating tools changed the nature of Chinese painting. When we make innovation,express personality,we can't lose sight of the essence of our predecessors left behind and the most fundamental essences of Chinese paintings.In this paper,we analyze some new works of MFBP recent years exhibited in major art galleries which differed from the past ones.From their expression style,modeling elements , interesting ideas presenting three major aspects , and employing typical cases,we derive their new features. Emergence of any new things all has their unique causes and background which are analyzed in this paper from following aspects: background of works generated- including the social and political background,socio-economic background as well as the influence of modern Western culture and art.Contemporary MFBP painters have changed their own ideology,and the public have their own spiritual pursuits.To understand the nature through the phenomenon,the essence of new MFBP still originates in the traditional Chinese MFBP.The new MFBP is supposed to inherit tradition with critical attitude,and to be reconstructed by extracting traditional essence combined with modern aesthetic.We should scrutinize the time of age,learn from tradition,carry forward the national spirit,make foreign things serve China,absorb similar art forms,collect widely strength of other arts.Only in this way,we can keep our national art have enduring longevity.The behaviors which abandon the tradition and depart from tradition are undesirable.
