On Lee's Landscape

Ke-Ran Lee(1907-1989) is a Chinese modern landscape master,one of the most important painters who promoted Chinese landscape to develop from traditional to modernization.In the context of modern Chinese culture and art inherited and developed on their formal basis,Ke-Ran Lee's more than 40 years' landscape paintings have typically displayed "inheritance and development",a creation pattern of modern Chinese culture and art.Besides,with his experience as a teacher and his artistic style,Ke-Ran Lee affected a large number of landscape painters,and created a unique group charactered by Lee's landscape.This paper discussed the inheritance and development relationship between Ke-Ran Lee and other landscape painters of Lee's family from four aspects.Chapterâ… discussed the budding,occurrence,and development process of Ke-Ran Lee's landscape,and the inheritance and development of other group members of Lee for his landscape.Chapterâ…¡presented on the forming process of Ke-Ran Lee's unique artistic thought,pointing out that brush and ink,backlighting and image are the three most important artistic characteristics of his landscape.Viewing from Lee's personal characteristics and his distinctive understanding on the tradition and modern life of Chinese art,Chapterâ…¢analyzed the cause of formation of Lee's landscape.Chapterâ…£simply analyzed how some of the typical painters from Lee's family inherit and develop the art of Ke-Ran Lee, namely Run-Hua Huang,Ping Zhang,Xing-Jian Lee,You-Fu Jia,Rui Long and Xiao-Ke Lee.
