With the deepening of new curriculum reform and the implementing of normal student's free education, the reforming direction and creative point in the teacher education in normal university is how to cultivate the professional skills. The curriculum reform of "central student developing" proposes a higher request to the teacher without doubt, the degree of teacher's teaching skills displaying in the teaching process will be deciding directly the teaching quality and the talented person's quality.This study bases on the micro teaching and classroom teaching of normal student. By literature researching and observing, the author tries to investigate the present situation and subsistent problem on geography classroom teaching skill of normal student in university and then puts forward the strategies to help them to cultivate and optimize their classroom teaching skill of geography.The thesis is divided into six parts, they are:The first part is an introduction. This part introduces the background and the significance of this study, reviews the previous studies at home and abroad, sums up the research results and seeks the undeveloped room, and then points out the enlightenment. Moreover, the author also summarizes the approach of this study in this part.The second part discusses the basic meaning of teaching skill of geography classroom. Based on the definition of teaching skill of geography classroom, this part elaborates its main features and the request of new curriculum, and introduces each stage of its process so as to put forward strategies.The third part recognizes the theory of teaching skill of geography classroom. It generalizes the theory supporting the opinions of this study, establishing a theoretical basis of this study.The fourth part investigates the present situation of teaching skill of geography normal student. After making the purpose, object, method and procedure of classroom observing clear, this part nails down the point of observing and the index of evaluating. Then, in order to seek the main problems of geography normal student on classroom teaching skill, the author observes and evaluates the classroom teaching skill of geography normal student in two stages: micro teaching and classroom teaching.The fifth part puts forward the strategies of cultivating and optimizing teaching skill of geography normal student. In order to resolve the main problem, the author puts forward the strategies follow the directions of the theory to cultivate and optimize teaching skill of geography normal student in three stages: learning, micro teaching and teaching practice.The last part is a conclusion. The part sums up the results of this study and its limitation, as well as directions for further study.
