It has been widely believed that XinQiji was a writer with outstanding accomplishments in double Song Dynasty's Ci world. However, what caught people's eyes was not only his acts of great heroism during his life, but also his getting such an extraordinary achievement that nobody, before or after, could keep up with at all, while he actually had not purposely wanted to be a poet. His rich and tortuous life experiences, his unique official career with up-and-down three times, both combined were the direct initial motivation that urged he to engage in Ci writing and sigh his life with deep feeling. In particular, when he lived lonely as an recluse in DaiHu and PiaoQuan ,the quantity of his works were apparently much more than that of those written when he were an official, and exactly his works of these two periods represented his main characteristic style and artistic success. So, my dissertation's argument is shown from the effect his recluse life had exerted on his writing.Due to the great content-capicity and rich inner meanings of his recluse Ci,it's impossible for me to discuss in detail here.I study the Ci created in DaiHu and PiaoQuan as two independent stages in my first and second chapter, adopting a kind of manner called demonstrating flat from points. The two chapters is mainly to textually research the reason for XinQiji's losing official position and becoming a recluse, plusing his living state, according to the historic materials gathered by Mr DengGuangming. These two points are one part of his works' content, and also, are closely associated with the study of his thinking state and artistic style. In both chapters I research the intercourse between XinQiji and his friends, select friend-making Ci, which are comparatively more in quantity, to appreciate and analyze as emphases, pointing out to writer's recluse mind state, thinking and feeling at the same time as I study special individual Ci category. The third chapter study Comprehensively the three species typical Ci: object-singing Ci. reason-interst Ci. subtle and concise Ci.in which I also draw a Comparation to the works and features of these two periods besides respective discussing. Furthermore, because of the differences of poet's mind state when he was in PiaoQuan, his works were permeated with reason-interst elements such as Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism. etc, containing poet's life philosophy. The last chapter mainly study his art charateristics. Resulting from living as a recluse, there were many works concerning friend-making and singing for one another, and Ci written in terms of friends' Ci-rhyme came out in large numbers .In addition, He is a highly learned man, with a kind of free-wheeling personality, unconventional and uninhabited, always writing Ci as if were writing articles, which are merely typical cases in his diverse art styles. Surely, studying his recluse Ci will do considerable good for us to understand XinQiji's thought quality and art taste.
