The Argument Of Zhuangzi And Huishi

AbstractZhuangzi and his words can be found in the book of "ZhuangZi".While the book "HuiZi",which was about HuiShi,was lost as per "HanShu,YiWenZhi".The words and thoughts of Huishi can be found in the book of "ZhuangZi","XunZi","HanFeiZi", "HuaiNanZi","LvShiChunQiu" and "ZhanGuoCe"."Zhuangzi" was the base of the paper.Zhuangzi and Huishi lived in the same time period and had face-to-face communications in mid-term of Warring States.Huishi had been official but dare not look down upon Zhuangzi because Zhuangzi was regard as "the realistic is topsy-turvydom,no one can use solemn diction",and he was also the one of respected friends of Zhuangzi.Huishi was the only one talked with Zhuangzi in the inner seven chapters of "Zhuangzi" which is the first aspect the paper based on.The debate is the bridge of their idea.Huishi and Zhuangzi had three debates on the topics:"big but no use","without passion" and "fish's happiness",which is the second aspect the paper based on."Big but no use" was the essential of the three debates thus the paper was focused on it,which can help us understand the debation of them."Without passion" and "fish's happiness" were not conflict with each other and they clarified "big but no use" from another aspect.The paper focused on the Huishi's image in the eyes of Zhuangzi and his "forget" in advance through the three debates,which is the third aspect the paper based on.In the debate of "big but no use",Huishi appeared as one brave and fearless opponent,defended his own position in the first debates.In the debate of "without passion",he represented normal person with normal emotion and argued with Zhuangzi about "without passion" and "forget passion".He didn't understand what is "without passion" and couldn't know that "without passion" is "forget passion" in the idea of zhuangzi,which also educe the idea of "forget passion" in advance.Firstly the "forget" of Zhuangzi was one way to get the harmonious of the Heaven and Man.Secondly it was a spiritual pursuit and struggling after a painful choice."Forget" was the essential thought of "Zhuangzi" and was the shortcut to discover "Zhuangzi".
