Studies On Equality Comparison Category In Modern Chinese

Comparison is an important grammar category, the Comparative Category and the Equality Comparison Category are the sub-categories. The predecessor's researches stress to the Comparative Category, but the researches on the Equality Comparison lack the systematic characteristic.In this paper, the definition of the Equality Comparison category contains both "Equality" and "Comparison". Comparison means comparing two things together at a same point for their similarities or differences of degree; Equality means that by comparing the two things at a same point they have the same or similar points.The Equality Comparison Category has two functions: one is the same relationship; the other is to illustrate the main things with the object of the similarities.Introduction chapter is an overview of the research on comparison Category in modern Chinese; Chapter II is from the level of syntactic structure; Chapter III is from the semantic level; Chapter IV is from the level of the cognitive basis.
