In recent years the rise of grass-roots culture has become a trend, many kinds of grass-roots work come out one after the other. At present, indepth study of the grass-roots photography has not yet started, just stay in a simple non-critical or unilateral study of a particular form of expression, which is the rapid development of the grass-roots photography is incompatible.This paper attempts to fill the above-mentioned shortcomings, deepening of the current highly controversial and has drawn greater attention of the understanding of the grass-roots photography, from the cultural, technical and psychological analysis of the three grass-roots photography popular deep-seated reasons and existing the grass-roots photography mainly the form of a comb and classification, focusing on aspects of grass-roots summarize its main features, compare it with the Classic Photography differences, and its contemporary elite mining the impact of photography. At the same time from both the positive and negative aspects of photography to explore the emergence and development of grass-roots about the social function, and finally the future prospects for their development.
