The Uderstanding On Zhu Xi's Thoughts Of Interpretating The Four Books From The Viewpoints Of Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics

From the 1960',Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics has been developing rapidly and widely in countries of Europe and America.It is not only the main devoloping trend of Western philosophy after the phenomenology and the existentialism,but also is a theoritical basis on which the literary hermeneutics,the historical hermeneutics,the legal hermeneutics,the artistic hermeneutics,the social hermeneutics,etc have appeared in succession in the field of the humanities,which reaches the developing peak of the western hermeneutics.In the process of annotating the"Four Books",Zhu Xi combines the classical annotation and philosophical,which forms a distinctive thoughts of classical hermeneutics and exerts a creative contribution to the theory and practice of the classical hermeneutics and reaches the developing peak of Chinese hermeneutics equally.This thesis is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the author does textual research on the word"interpretation"in the sino-western tradition,and introduces the sino-western interpretative tradition of long standing.In the second chapter,the author gives a brief accound of the devolopment of the western hermeneutics and expounds the theory of Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics from three aspects which are"the fusion of horizons","the effective history","the being which can be understood namely language".In the third chapter,the author expounds the replacement of the"Four Books"and the"Five Classics",and Zhu Xi's viewpoints of the"Four Books",and the thoughts of classical hermeneutics which is formed in the process of annotating the"Four Books"and the profound influence on .In the fourth chapter,the author will analyse and explain Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics and Zhu Xi's thoughts of classical hermeneutics separtely from these aspects which are the interpretive object,the prejudices and the disadvantages in interpretation,the methodology,the practical wisdom,the historical status,and so on.This will make us study Zhu Xi's thought of classical hermeneutics much better in the new visual angle of the philosophical hermeneutics,and find plentiful meaning of classical Chinese hermeneutics,which will promote the establishment of Chinese hermeneutics and give some supplement to the western hermeneutics and advance the harmonious and common development of sino-western cultures.
