Deconstruct Cultural Center And Multi-Culture Coexistence

Doris Lessing is a British authoress grown up in Africa. Cultural conflicts and integration of Africa and British produce her multicultural ideology. Her attention is always focused on the rights of persons who are in marginal status. The deep spirit of humanitarianism and contradict but unity ideology reflects in her works.Within the framework of deconstruct and multicultrualism, more particular with"the other"and"logocentrism", this paper intends to discuss and reveal deconstruction, cultural diversty and stand for the notion of integration from civilization/primary, the white/the black, subject/the other, male/female. The paper is divided to four parts.Firstly, the author reviews and confirms the study of Doris Lessing and also points out the limitation of study home. From the postmodernism and cross-cultural perspective, the idea of multi-element axistence her writing is discussed.Secondly, Deconstruction and multiculturalism coexisted. On the basis of discussion about her attitude toward binary opposition from civilization/primary, the white/the black, subject/the other, male/female, further analyzes the novels of multicultural coexistence. From"the other"and"logocentrism"point of view, the novel selected are exemplified to reveal her attitude of tolerance and equality toward multicultrulism.Thirdly, the source of multiculturalism. The generation of Doris Lessing's multi-cultural concept is from her experience in Africa which makes her know about a real Africa. Though she returns to the Britain, she thinks Africa as the hot of blood forever. The grassland in Africa is vast territory and marvelous. Her childhood is lonely and poor. These gave Lessing imagination and thinking ability to become a writer. Growth in heterogeneous culture formed her charity bosom and the attitude of multi-culture coexistence.Finally is conclusion. Works of Doris Lessing tried to have a breakthrough deconstructing binary opposition of"Euro-centrism"and"the whit superiority"thoughts and to establish discourse rights for vulnerable groups. She hopes for a society of culture equality and harmonious coexistence and realize the utopia for human beings.
