Astudy Of The Singing Art And The Transmission Of One Of The Henan Opera

Henan Opera plays an very important part in Chinese traditional opera culture, and East Henan Tang Opera is one major school in it. As one of major school of Henan opera, East Henan Tang Opera played a very important role in promoting the innovation and development of male voice singing art in Henan Opera. It has a solid foundation of the masses both in the east of Henan Province and in the junction region of Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui Province. Based on field work, This paper illustrates the formation and development of East Henan Tang Opera and analyzes its singing characteristics and tries to find its forming reasons, and then makes a systematic comparison between its different way of transmission and finally proposes several possible suggestions for the transmission and development of East Henan Tang Opera.The paper is divided into five parts:Part I is the introduction of the paper. It summarized the achievements of previous studies, and based on them, proposed the writer's own perspective and research methods.Part II introduces the historical and geographic background of East Henan Tang Opera, and summarizes the artistic career of Tang Yucheng, the Father of East Henan Tang Opera, and explains how his disciples develop the art and making it become so influential.Part III gives some examples to show the singing technique singing characteristics of East Henan Tang Opera and tries to find the causes of their formation.In Part IV, the paper makes a systematic comparison between its different way of transmission, and analyses how East Henan Tang Opera was passed and developed in the primary and middle school of Shangqiu, and finally proposes several possible suggestions for the transmission and development of East Henan Tang Opera.Part VI is the conclusion.
