Study On "JI"

The past discussions on the word "Ji" mostly defined into the levels about syntax and semantics, but this paper aims to explore the "Ji" in text from the multi-angles of syntax,semantics,pragmatics and text, hoping to get innovation and breakthrough.This main content of the dissertation includes introduction,the body and the conclusion as follow:The introduction is the first part, offering single introduction about the purpose,meaning,corpus,researching methods and so on;The second part is about the diachronic deviation of "Ji". During the research, the beginning of "Ji'"s deviation or its grammaticalization is from one space to another;The third chapter explores the relations between former and latter item of "Ji", and makes overall analysis on the semantic function about "Ji" from this relation about register,semantics and its grammaticalization;The forth chapter explores the syntax function of "Ji". The word "Ji" is analyzed in details towards its explanative function when it is put into sentence, and explored on its function from the aspect of the syntax relations between its former and latter items;The fifth chapter explores the pragmatic and textual function of "Ji", it is an important mark to understand the utterance when its pragmatic and textual function is under studying.
