Research On The Fonts Of Qin Bamboo Character

This paper is in order to research the body of Qin bamboo character. Qin bamboo character is the character of the transitional period from the ancient character to today character. Since a special historical period of the Warring States to Qin Dynasty and its own special of Qin bamboo, Qin bamboo character shows the characteristics of their own. Qin bamboo character contains the meanings of Zhuanshu and Lishu. The emergence of the character is the inevitable outcome of the evolution of Chinese character. Its existing relects the track of the evolution of the Chinese character from Zhuan to Li.To study them will help us to sort out the context of development of Chinese character.The full text has three chapters. The chapter I introduces the the study of every kind of Qin bamboo at first,and then overviews the whole research of Qin bamboo. The chapter II introduces the characteristics of the three main Qin chacraters which are formated by three main carriers,and describes the handwriting situation of the Qin bamboo character. The chapter III mainly analyzes the physical characteristics of the Qin bamboo through the body comparison between the last and the total according to the law of the evolution of Chinese characters. The study found that Zhuanli co-exists in the Qin bamboo character which truely reflects the evoluting situation of Chinese characters from Zhuan to Li. And most of them follow the direction of simplification and symbolization to develop in the course of character evolution. Because Qin bamboo character follows the general law of character evolution so that character development has new unification and norm. Studying Qin bamboo character not only help us to understand writing situation of the Qin character at that time,but also help us to study fonts of Chinese character,especially the study of Lishu and Cursive.
