Study On Modern Sports Of China In Shenbao (1927～1937)

After 1840, China opened up to the outside world. Modern western sports that came after military force and industrial products was established and developed in China. Chinese traditional sports, especially Wushu, also began to innovate and go global. In the Golden Decade between 1927 and 1937, the sports industry in China reached the peak, and Wushu achieved modernization initially. Based on Shenbao as the main research material, I hope to make comprehensive analysis about modern China's sports from two aspects of modern sports industry and the modernization of Wushu.The first part researches on special relationship between Shenbao and modern sports. On one hand, because Shenbao emphasized both justice and benefit, recorded what had been heard, occupied a special place in history and managed well. Shenbao are of high historical value to the study. On the other hand, Newspaper is the major media and social sports is an important way of publicity and promotion, and sports reports also attract the audience. It is a win-win relation between them.The second part studies Modern sports industry from Sports Advertising in Shenbao, Sporting Goods Industry, Sports leisure industry, the construction of gymnasiums and stadiums, Fundraising, Attracting investment and Trophy, and Sports Press. Sports product enterprises established. Well-known brands, such as Huili, still existed. With shenbao as a representative of the sports industry has become an important part of modern media advertising. Sports leisure industry developed rapidly in Shanghai, Tianjin and other big cities. The construction of gymnasiums and stadiums and Sports Press reached unprecedented prosperity.The third part researches on the modernization of Wushu m the Golden Decade between 1927 and 1937. Since modern times, in the special social background, Wushu got more attention in all kinds of traditional sports. After Nanjing Kuomindang Government was established, they paid great attention to the innovation of Wushu, by establishing the top-down management system, holding Wushu Games. Wushu gradually moved towards modernization.
