On The Music Construction Of Ligeti's Violin Concerto Mov. 1

My paper starts from the first movement of Ligeti's violin concerto. It makes an analysis of the external features and the inner elements of the piece and emphasizes on the deployment of pitches and intervals and fabric patterns. In addition, my paper attempts to illuminate the leading role of these inner elements in the structure of the work and the piece's development from traditional tonal music through a comparison of the concerto with works of the middle stage of the composer's career in terms of composing techniques and a comparison of the work's structure and traditional tonal music.My paper is comprised of an introduction and 4 chapters.The introduction briefly tells about Ligeti and his violin concerto. And the following 4 chapters provide an analysis of its first movement.
