The Research Of Yuan Bai Group's Proses

The most outstanding writers in Middle Tang Dynasty --- Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi --- were excellent at poem and prose. At that time,the poetical group named after them set off the New Yue fu movement on a grand and spectacular scale in the poetry area, and had a huge influence until now. Their proses, however,are studied not as much as their poems. This paper is going to explore the Yuan Bai group's prose creation by the main writers --- Yuan Zhen, Bai Juyi, Liu Yuxi, and the like.This paper consists of a introduction,a 4-chapter main body and a conclusion.. The introduction part will introduce the current study of Yuan Bai group's proses and the meaning of them.The main body has four chapters. Chapter One introduces the conception of Yuan Bai group and its members,and probes the relationship between poem and prose ,Raising the possibility of the existence of"Yuan Bai prose group"which is the theoretical cornerstone of this paper.Chapter Two analyses some of the important literary syles of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi like(诏,奏状,表,策,判,赋,碑志,书信及游记,政论)zhizhao,zhouzhuang,biao,che,pan,fu,beizhi,letter,traval notes and political comments. Chapter Three concludes the common features of Yuan Bai group's proses and the identity of their poems and proses. Chapter Four demonstrates Yuan Bai group's devotion to Chinese Prose movement and analyses the historical evaluation of Yuan Bai's proses and the reason.The conclusion part introduces the prose achievements of Yuan Bai group and the influence on modern literature, Determines the existenc of Yuan Bai group's proses, but does not advocate the use of " Yuan Bai prose group".On balance, this paper tries to make up for the lack of research of the Yuan and Bai poetical group through the study of Yuan Bai group's proses , and consummates the understanding of Chinese Prose movement.
