The Study Of Gramsci And His "Prison Notes"

Prison Notebooks is Antonio Gramsci's famous work. Gramsci's the founder of the Italian Communist Party. The work has broad content, unique and innovative, views, throughing the analysis of the issues of Italian history, culture and politic, sum up the experiences and lessons of the labor movement at that time, explore the western countries the road toward socialism. "civil society", "intellectuals", "Practical Philosophy," "cultural leadership" and other theories, influencing theoretical researches faaway .In this paper, focusing on the text of Prison Notebooks (China Social Sciences Press, 2000 edition), analyse Gramsci's important and profound theoretical concepts, in order to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of the purpose of their thoughts. Thesis is divided into four parts. The first part interprets the life and ideas of Gramsci's trajectory in the development process, outlines his basis thoughts, then analyse the background of Prison Notebooks's. The second part has a brief introduction of Prison Notebooks and its impacts, mainly on its style of abstruse difficult to understand, in order to give a sentimental reading guide. The third part is the center of this paper. Mainly using theoretical analysis to deeply dissect three chapters of Prison Notebooks: "the history of culture", "Political Essays", "philosophical research", interpret its core concept and perspective. The last part mainly interpret the domestic researches of Prison Notebooks, point out the different inspiration of Gramsci's theory to Chinese massculture stud ies.In this paper, the purpose of theoretical discussion and analysis of Gramsci's Prison Notebooks is providing us necessary reference of mass culture studies, only when we have dissection of the basic content of the theory, we are able to more accurately grasp the the direction of cultural studies and development trends.
