Reading The Aesthetic Value And Development Of Mosaic Mural

Mosaic is a public art, which occupied in the public space. It is related to the public in terms of public culture. Therefore, one of the characteristic of mosaic mural is that, it performs various styles, based on the social background, the geography, the economy, the culture, the custom and the aesthetic standard. Meanwhile, mosaic is in the scope of art design, it is not only a carrier of the historic culture, but also performs its own standard of design and manufacture. The mosaic mural has a long historical standing. In Mesopotamia, in about 4000 BC the first works were created. Sumerians are the inventor of mosaic, while the Byzantine mosaic reached the peak. The mosaic mural is popular with public, due to its wide rang of subjects, as well as its authenticity and permanent of coloring and the diversity of manufacture. Being introduced around the world, the mosaic is developed by artists, who keep on adding their own national style into mosaic mural.In the long history of art, along with the developing of the architecture, mosaic mural has aroused more and more concerns in the world and has been applied in the society construction more and more frequently. On the other hand, the mosaic artists have to understand the structure of architecture, propose his plans ask the architects'comments and advices. The artists should make their effort to combine the mosaic material with human society. Only then could the mosaic mural be combined with the building, with the surrounding and be connected to the social life and republic.In this thesis, firstly, analyze the classic period and recovery period of the mosaic mural works, from the art background, the art language, the art image, the art expression of view. Secondly, used the questionnaire survey, analyze the situation of development of Chinese art. Thirdly, the art psychology methodology is implemented to analyze the art characteristic which the classic period and recovery of the western mosaic and the Chinese mosaic, reading the psychology in creation process and the aesthetic tendency standpoints of arts. Finally, the western art theory is implemented to combine the modern art with the modern synthetic material. Last but not least, the future of the Chinese art is discussed in this thesis to discover the style, the characteristic and the material, which belongs to the Chinese mosaic art.
