| In the early of Ming Dynasty, some Uygurs of Turpan and Hami region in Xinjiang moved to Hunan province and they lived and thrived in Taoyuan region of Changde city. Now the population of them is more than 10,000, and they still follow the Islamic faith. Six hundreds years have past, along with Uygur and Han ethnic groups constantly contact and integrate with each other, Taoyuan Uygur's Islamic belief is increasingly presented Hunan's geographical characteristics, and this kind of characteristics influence Taoyuan Uygur's customs and other aspects.The research on the contemporary Taoyuan Uygur's Islamic belief in Hunan, not only makes us more deeply know the connotation and the feature of the contemporary Taoyuan Uygur's Islamic faith in Hunan, but also can enrich our knowledge about Uygur religious culture, and can benefit us expand the comparison research field of Uygur Islamic faith .The author does a careful and deep observation on the spot in Maple Uygur-Hui country and Qinling Hui-Uygur country of Taoyuan town, so the author gets the first–hand materials. And through the talks and the visits with Uygur religious men, ordinary villagers, related people, the author gets a more comprehensive and deep investigation about the condition of Taoyuan Uygur Islamic faith, and meanwhile the author distributed and recovered more than 100 questionnaires. Through the statistics of these questionnaires, the author makes a quantifing analysis of the status quote, the developing trend, the feature , the influence and other aspects of Taoyuan Uygur Islamic faith. The analysis provides a basic data for writing the paper.The paper's narrative from the following aspects:Chapter1, the introduction, it introduces the meaning of the topic the condition and the method of the study, and it describes the related study findings of Uygur in Hunan .Meanwhile, it introduces the resean why the author chooses Taoyuan Uygur's research as the study of the whole Hunan province Uygur .Chapter2, the narrative of Tauyuan Uygur's history, origin, the historical review of Islamic faith, and the general condition of the contemporary Taoyuan Uygur. And it introduces that the ancestor of Taoyuan Uygur were military immigration in the early of Ming Dynasty,and before they came in Taoyuan town of Hunan province ,they had believed Islam.Chapter3, it describes the status quote, the religious organization, and the condition of the religious sites of Taoyuan Uygur Islamic faith in Hunan. And it also explores the influence of Islamic belief for the society life of Taoyuan Uygur.The environment of Taoyuan was changed increasingly ,and Han culture influenced their many aspects, which lead to the change of their custom, and which lastly lead to the Islamic faith weakened and changed. Meanwhile,these change influence their life, marriage, funeral , feast, and education and so on.Chapter4, it describes the geographical characteristics of Taoyuan Uygur Islamic faith in Hunan. The characteristics are presented that Islamic faith and Hui ethnic groups culture integrate with each other, and Taoyuan Uygur Islamic belief appeared relative indifferent trend. Many years have past , because Taoyuan Uygur were related by marriage with Han ethnic groups and Hui ethnic groups, their population has improved from hundres of people to today's thousands. So their blood have much composition of Han's, meanwhile they receive some Han ethnic groups culture ,which made their faith presented multi-formThe author thinks that Taoyuan Uygur of Hunan experienced hundreds of years'historical changes ,and they live in Huxiang-Han culture circle solitarily, they live in with other nations, and their communication circle with Han ethnic groups and Hui ethnic groups became bigger than before, the degree of contact with them also further deep, all which benefit for their understanding and respect of other nation in the culture and custom .Now Taoyuan Uygur's Islamic faith appears many new changes, and their Islamic faith has different from the Islamic faith of Xinjiang Uygur. |
