On A Little Hyperbol Phenomenon In Chinese

Based on some researches on a little hyperbole phenomenon,and a few related linguistics theories,such as subjective quantity,zero and deviation and so on,the paper firstly determines its definition,property,object,categories and characteristics. A little hyperbole of syntax is the main research target of this paper.Chapter 1:Outline.In this part,we determines the definition of the little hyperbole phenomenon in Chinese,and its property,object,categories and characteristics.Some related linguistics theories,for example,zero and deviation and cognitive figures of speech have been used to establish the foundation of the little hyperbole.It can be differentiated into three parts:the little hyperbole of words,the little hyperbole of syntax and the little hyperbole of text.Chapter 2:General remark of the little hyperbole of syntax.The forms of expressions are the most important ones in Chinese.According to combining syntax and semantics,the rich forms are classified into seven categories as follows: contrast-increment;contrast-transcendence;contrast-contradiction;reduplication-increment;reduplication-t rans-cendence;simplicity-increment;and simplicity-transcendence.Chapter 3 to Chapter 8:Choosing a representative form of each category respectively.They are the Sentence "lian"(连),the structure of"bushi A,jiushi B"(不是A,就是B),the structure of"quanbu......,Zhiyou......"(全部......,只有......), the structure of"zuo......,you......"(左......,右......),the structure of"XX地V" and the overview of the direct sample.Every sentence is described in the same way,: firstly,determining its definition,property,object,categories and characteristics;then making the emphasis on the causes of forming the little hyperbole phenomenon through the aspects of syntax and semantics.Chapter 9:Making an initial draft on hyperbole degrees of the little syntactic hyperbole.As subjective deviation and objective deviation jointly influence the degree of a little syntactic hyperbole,therefore,we try to fix the degree by establishing the coordinate axes and make a degree scope of the little syntactic hyperbole.Finally,it summarizes the contents of this thesis and the correlative questions in the future study.Based on Chinese language facts,the sample sentences are mainly first-hand materials.Using the method of comparison,we can list the different forms of synonymy on the zero degree expressions and the little hyperbole.On this basis,the paper continues to sort the categories and focusing the devices to forming the special form of speech.Especially,the paper makes an effort on establishing the hyperbole degree of the little syntactic hyperbole phenomena.
