Dongfeng Town, Yizhang county is a richful language field. Except southwest mandarin which is prevalent in all Yizhang county, there are other three dialects: Hakka, Elihua and Yadehua. Based on a great deal of first-hand language materials, and with a comprehensive field investigation, this essay lists two syllaberies of Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua, and makes a detailed comparison on the phonetic characteristics of them. It uses these comparisons to find out the features of the phonological contact influence between Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces Yizhang's and Dongfeng's geographical location, history and language-use actuality. It also gives the dialects research status qua and the paper's researching significance and its objectives, as well as the spots which have been studied and the persons who have provided pronunciation.In the second chapter, the author describes the phonological systems of Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua first, and then lists their syllaberies. The phonological systems include initials, finials and tones.The third chapter makes an elaborate comparison on the phonetic characteristics of Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua, and then aims to compare Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua with Meixian Hakka,Yizhang Hakka, Xiangnan dialect,southwest mandarin and Xiang groups in order to discuss the language contact influence of the phonological systems.After summarizing the aforesaid comparisons, the last chapter points out that the communities and resemblances between Dongfeng Hakka and Elihua indicate the deep language contact influence by reason of communication. At last, the paper analyses for the reasons of the language contact influence, and predicts the developmental prospects of the language contact influence.
