| After Liberation, the vigorous Agricultural co-operative movement has inspired the enthusiasm of writers for the subjects of the rural society. Bring on a large number of Narrative fictions which reflected the growing of farmers during the rural revolution. Some of the novels such as "Three Mile Bay", "Great Changes in the Mountain Villages", " Venture History", "Sunny" etc. have influence on the daily life. There are landlords, rich peasants, middle peasant, the vast majority of poor farmers and many other characters in these novels. Throughout all the novels, the new Party affairs worker is the most typical among all these characters. This thesis analyzed the Party affairs workers by interpretative reading the rural novels during the "seventeen year". These roles showed the same stylized characters—the same class background, the pre-service revolutionary experience, the political language and the "moral model" or "asexual loveless hero" images under the influence of revolutionary ethical awareness. The thesis also systematically investigated the evolution process of these Party affairs workers in rural novels during the "seventeen year". We could notice the classical images have been politicized gradually by the ideology changed from "the warmth guide" to "the growth of revolution" and turned into "charisma" in the end.By analyzing of the specific images, we found the early creations are reflecting the relatively independent personal expression. The folk narration still occupied an important position. But with the gradual increasing of the regulation power of national will, the authority political keep eroding the personal will of the writers, the independence and autonomy of the writers have faded gradually. The novels echoes the "ideal calls" of the revolution regime and mainstream awareness in the political and cultural level, uniform trend of roles is keep increasing, the images of Party affairs workers "politicized" gradually and become the political symbols to reflect the state ideology eventually. |
