Ba Jin was the writer who had the world prestige, In the history of Chinese contemporary literature, he was the last and also the only literature master from 20 century into 21 century. In his lifetime, He wrote too many works that could be measured by his height. In his novels, there is a remarkable phenomenon is that female images occupy extraordinarily outstanding location. Through create the female image, Ba Jin criticize big feudalism family which destroyed females, feel pity for female's unfortunate destiny, do his utmost to admire and eulogize female, to confirm the resistance and pursuit of female's; But at the same time, Beacause of the overall society situation of the rootedness patriarchy thought and the small family environment of the rigided hierarchical feudalism where Ba Jin lived in from his childhood, he has inevitably affected by the influence of male culture. Beacause be fettered and restricted by this traditional ideas, his novels appear a contradiction phenomenon, that is,Subjectively, they display sympathy and eulogize female but objectively, they unconsciousnessly revealing male centre consciousness.This thesis is composed of three chapters, and we systematically analyse and discuss male chauvinism presenced in Ba Jin's novels. The first chapter of this paper, we focus on the characteristics of Ba Jin's eulogizing female and its causes in his novels. The second chapter, we focus on the revolutionary female and feudal family victims in Ba Jin's novels, analyzes the author's male chauvinism while eulogizing and praising female, point out it is only the "Empty Signifier" and slavish praise of male's imagination. The third chapter, we through Ba Jin's later novel "Cold Night" to analyze the affirmative and concern to the female's consciousness in Ba Jin's novels, but the essence of this is the game between modern democratic thinking and male chauvinism. The epilogue part continue the feminist perspective of this article, point out that real equality between male and female and the emancipation of female will continue to be a historical process, the road is still long.
