The Research On Lu Lun's Social Intercourse

Lu Lun, as one of the ten famous talented poets in Da Li Reign of Tang Dynasty, is a very important poet at that time, whose poem style is typical of the verses prevalent in Da Li period. He is a sociable and prolific poet, who composed hundreds of poems which recorded his social intercourse, so he is representative compared with other poets in Da Li period. Because of this, the hackling and researching of Lu Lun's social intercourse, which is the theme of this thesis, will help us better understand the thoughts of Lu Lun, the spiritual status of highbrowand and the social custom of that time, this research consequentially further our researches on Lu Lun's poems and even the styles of the verses in the whole period of Da Li. Before this thesis, some scholars had done a lot of remarkable work on the annotation of Lu Lun's poems and the investigation of his experience, but few of them had done any research on Lu Lun's social intercourse, in these rare researches of this theme, some of that still should be discussed and argued about, this problem, to some extent, disadvantages us to take on our researches on Lu Lun's poems accurately and more profoundly.In order to solve this problem, the thesis will do further researches on Lu Lun's social intercourse, which is founded on the former researches in this field. By analyzing the used literatures and finding the new literatures, the thesis will point out the faults of the former researches, supply the gaps of the researches, and give some new evidence on the researches, which will make the study of Lu Lun's social intercourse more accurate and more particular, and then give a forward push to the researches on Lu Lun's poems and Da Li period's poems.In order to achieve this aim, the first part of the thesis focuses on solving the problems of Lu Lun's social intercourse. According to the statistics, the amount of Lu Lun's poems adds up to three hundreds and thirty nine, in which more than two hundreds and twenty people have been referred to.The thesis researches about two hundreds and eighteen persons, and almost all the people whom have been referred in Lu Lun's poems are inclusive. The thesis divides these people into three teams: the first ones are that we know whom they are, aiming at these people, the thesis outlines their experience, and then researches specifically how and when Lu Lun contacted with them by the clues in his poems; the second ones are those we are suspicious that whom they are, but we are not very sure, aiming at these people, the thesis will give all the useful evidence, but for the conclusion, in order to prepare for the further researches when new literatures are found or other scholars can make sure of them in the future; the third ones are those we can't certify whom they were except in Lu Lun's poems, aiming at those people, the thesis just conserves the clues in the poems. By penetrated researches, the thesis has found many new and important materials about Lu Lun's social intercourse in ancient literatures. During the study of Lu Lun's poems, the thesis has also found a lot of contradictory records in those literatures, on the condition that the theme of the thesis is not deprived from, the contradictory records have been researched and adjusted.On the base of much stable research, the second part of the thesis focus on the effects of Lu Lun's social intercourse on his poems, aiming at helping people appreciate Lu Lun's poems better. Lu Lun's friends can be generally divided into two teams: one of that belongs to aristocrats; the other remains with inferior official poets. At certain historical epoch, to make friends with the aristocrats accords Lu Lun a short cut to become an official, obviously, this main of making friends is intentional and utilitarian. Different from the poets in Prime Tang Dynasty Period, Lu Lun admired the supplied and comfortable life rather than the pursuing of honorable political ideal and the thoroughly exhibiting of personality. This deeply mental incentive determines his status, the person who pleases aristocrats by his literary talent. In order to satisfy the aristocrats' aesthetic demands, he writes some elegant and lustration poems, and the latent competition with other poets promptes him to improve his capability of composing, though, as the coin has two sides the improving of poem composing skill goes with the limiting of visual field and the abusing of gorgeous glossary. On the purpose of confiding inner emotion, Lu Lun makes friends with inferior official poets. By the mains of poem, which is the medium of social intercourse, Lu Lun pours out sentimental feeling of that era and his own destiny, and this behavior is the reflection of close heart depending between those poets. In the social intercourse poems with inferior official poets, an subjective and spiritual imago can be found everywhere and hence the expressing function of exquisite mentality and emotion has been enhanced, the pursuing of poetic ambit being lead to an implicit and meaningful while some disadvantage such as similar imagoes, gloomy self experience and spirit weary coming with it. The researches on the relation between Lu Lun's social intercourse and his poem composing, not only make us find out the characteristic of that, but also help us catch a glimpse of the feature in the certain era and society.
