Research On 540 Radicals Of "Shuowenjiezi"

This article studies on the 540 radicals from "Shuowenjiezi". On the basis of the union of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, the union of static synchrony and dynamic ,this paper attempts to describe the radicals in detail. Through analyzing the productive and physical structure of these radicals ,it summarized the reasonable and unreasonable radicals from 540. Through statistics and analysis, the article draws a conclution that in "Shuowenjiezi" there are 439 into the words, 101 not into the word; 79 high-energy, 29 middle-energy, 396 low-energy and 36 incompetence radicals. The high-energy radicals accounts for only 14.63% in the "Shuowenjiezi" radicals, but lead the more than 80% characters. This fully reflects the radicals as a central feature of characters: the higher-energy of radicals, the stronger-defined capacity. Parts of low-energy and incompetence radicals are away from these characteristics; these should be excluded from the radicals. The change of radicals' defined function in the Oracle and "Xiaozhuan (小篆) ", especially some middle-low energy radicals in Oracle evolved into the high-energy radicals in "Xiaozhuan (小篆) ", reflects the development process of cognitive level and has a rich social and cultural implication. XuShen contraried some words and stroke to radicals in order to pursuit systematicness, which is a style from the chaos.The main body is divided into four parts:the introduction presents the motion, study status and study methods of the topic.In the first chapter, this chapter carries out research and analysis of ontology, which are radicals into the word or not, productive and "liushu (六书) " category.In the second chapter, statistical analysis of the radicals which is from "Jiaguwen Bian (甲骨文编) " is used in turning into the word and defined functions. Comparing with "Shuowenjiezi", it discusses the radicals that appear as a word in the Oracle in sequence. From these can analysis the radicals in the evolution of ancient and reflect the social, cultural association.The third chapter as a conclusion sums up the unreasonable existence of the 540 radicals, and also the true meaning of the radicals, and analysis the reason for why the number of radicals is 540 as well.
