Research On Pattern And Artist Form Of Blue Allover In Western Hunan

The blue allover, made through a traditional handmade printing and dyeing technology, has the long history and the high aesthetic value, and is deeply liked by people for a long time. The pattern of the blue allover is the infiltration and development of Chinese national humanities spirit handed down from generation to generation in the folk art. The precious national psychology, sentiment and value concept, expressed in the folk art, manifest the Chinese folk aesthetic taste, are the attribute of the traditional culture spirit, and present the inherent folk living custom and cultural attitude. As the area of western Hunan is the important producing area for the blue allover, a systematical investigation and research on its historical evolution, technological process, folk-custom application, pattern style and so on should be made. From the view of pattern and color art form, the constitution form and the folk aesthetic psychology of the blue allover are analyzed to seek art features of the blue allover. From the view of the visual art, the profound historical background and the humanism connotation implied in the image symbol of the blue allover are searched. Based on the image, through the comparison and research on the same theme between the blue allover in the area of western Hunan and the blue allover kept till now in other minorities and areas by means of non-historical control comparison in the cultural anthropology, the visual form features of the blue allover are summarized comprehensively. The forming factors and the artistic value of the blue allover are searched systematically and deeply. In the modern plane design, the comprehension and application of the blue allover language is analyzed. Some views on the enlightenment of the blue allover to the nationalization of Chinese plane design are presented to open up a wider space for the existence and development of the blue allover.
