A Study On The Application Of Landscape To The Modern Enjoyable Flowers And Birds Painting

Chinese modern enjoyable flowers and birds painting is affected by various sorts of thoughts and tested by culture and art. Meanwhile, the old formula approach has not been in accord with the times, owing to the great changes cultural background, human way of life and people's aesthetic standard. The new times requires innovation and development of arts. Innovation is the life of art, and no innovation means no development. Innovation, however, is not simple change of structure and content of painting, but deep combination with the painter's feeling and spirit of the age, which characterize the paintings with modernity and time spirit.According to observing nature, experiencing life and sketching from nature, the painter has found a new approach of innovation, which is, bringing landscape such as stone, stream mouth, precipice, waterfall, drizzling fog and distant peak, etc, into enjoyable flowers and birds painting, guided by the method of peeping sight closely and framing the momentum distantly. Application of landscape, namely the combination of bird-flower and landscape, has not only broken through the previous hedge of structuring and modeling the paintings, but also characterized traditional bird-flower and landscape painting new modernity and aesthetic value. Painters such as Pan Tianshou, Guo Weiqu, Guo Yicong and Wang Jinyuan have explored in this area. They raise this application to theory by continual painting, which plays an important part in the development and innovation of enjoyable flowers and birds painting. This is a new breakthrough of understanding natural beauty, actually, more a reflection on the thought of returning to nature in the Chinese philosophy.In this paper, the author traces back to the historic origin of brining landscape into enjoyable flowers and birds painting, sorts out the relevant paintings through the ages, and brilliantly analyses the possibilities and theoretical base of combination between bird-flower and landscape. This thesis targets the application of landscape to the modern enjoyable bird and flower painting, systematically analyzes the relevant points of representative painters and sums up respective innovational background and technique of expression. Moreover, based on the modern enjoyable flowers and birds painting, the author analyzes and sums up its special artistic characteristics and aesthetic value after researching representative works, which is beneficial for us to widen creativity. This creation is significant to the development of enjoyable flowers and birds painting; also it is essential to the development of Chinese painting.
