Inheritance And Development Of Shandong Dough Statue

The dough art is a kind of traditional folk art using flour as material to make various statues. Shandong Dough Statue is the outstanding representative of folk dough art in Yellow River basin, showing the strong artistic vitality of folk art with it's simple production method, plain modeling and bright color.Meanwhile, it has become the important carrier of working people's spirit, cultrue and folk life, bearing the folk faith which was formed since thousands of years by Shandong working people. Shandong Dough Statue is not only an exotic flower of chinese folk arts and crafts, but alslo an precious immaterial cultural heritage. Based on field investigation, using the research method of literature surveying and inductive analysis, this thesis's subject was determined as the inheritance and development of Shandong folk dough art, which include several aspects:1. Developing history and different areas'species of Shandong Dough Statue; 2. Art features in modeling, color and production process of Shandong Dough Statue; 3. The important function in folk activity and folk cultural connotations of Shandong Dough Statue; 4. The value and developing countermeasure of Shandong Dough Statue.Based on existing research, this paper studied the developing situation, art features, folk cultural connotations, value and developing countermeasure of Shandong Dough Statue systematically for the first time. The significance of this paper is supplementing and developing the theoretical research of Shandong Dough Statue, guiding the practice to some extent, and finally helping Shandong Dough Statue get better protection and developing.
