The Artistic Characteristics Of Female Clothing In Tang Dynasty

The costumes in different times are the reflection of contemporary politics, economy and culture, especially women's costumes. Tang Dynasty had developed into heyday in China's feudal society; the women's apparel has its distinct characteristics of times and deep flavor——open and generous, elegant and dignified, colorful and various, the prevalence of Hu tribe's clothing and women in men's clothing, dresses displayed the beautiful figure of female, etc., all reflected the Tang Dynasty's prosperity as enlightened politics, the highly developed economy and the frequent cultural communication with foreign countries.This paper analyzes the impact of history and culture on women's apparel in Tang Dynasty through analyzing Tang's history and culture. At the same time analyzes the artistic characteristics and design concept of women's apparel in Tang Dynasty combined with its development and unique historical status and significance. Through the analysis of women's clothing artistic characteristics in Tang Dynasty, we will get the reference to know the clothing characteristics in specific historical period, and to examine, judge and predict today women's wearing fashion trend.
